What's up everyone?  Just a little note, I will have a booth tomorrow at the Taste of Soul in Los Angeles and I will be selling my very own BABY BACK RIBS!!!!  This doesn't happen often, so make sure you come by and grab a bite.  I'll also have the spices there if you'd like to grab some of those too!

New Website Almost Ready

I've been getting a lot of emails about my wesite.  I know it's been down for a minute.  But we finally have good news.  We're in the final stages.  I f all goes well the site will be up and running by the end of the week.  Sor for everyone who wants to order spices, it's only a matter of days!

There was a mix up on the time I was to speak at the National Black Arts Festival today.  I ended up going on an hour earlier than planned.  Thanks to everyone who made it out to see me.  As always it was good to see you too.  My apologies to anyone who came by and found someone else on the stage.  I'll be back soon and next time I'll make sure I five acurate advance notice.

I finally have an appearance scheduled for the Los angeles area.  Next Sturday, I'll be doing a live cooking demonstration at Macy's Home Furnishing Store in Del Amo Mall just south of LA.  I'll be making some of my summer favorites.  Plus Macy's will also be giving away free tickets to the Long beach Festival.  So if you're in LA...come out 2:30 pm sharp!

ATL - National Black Arts Festival

Come check me out this Saturday at the National Black Arts Festival in Atlanta.  You can find me in the Literary Pavillion of the Georgia World Congress Center at 6 PM.  I was originally scheduled to speak earlier in the afternoon but I had a scheduling conflict.  So make sure you come by at the new time...6 PM.  I'll be speaking and signing books.  See you Saturday!

Whew - what a weekend!   Thanks to everyone who came out to participate in the Publix Apron's Cooking classes in Atlanta and Jacksonville.   I hope you had a good time.  Did you take pictures?  If so, let me know by sending an email to request@chefgarvin.com.    I'd like to post a few on my blog.
